Gerardo Sison, PharmD
Gerardo Sison, PharmD, is a consultant, medical writer, and reviewer from Tampa, Florida. Gerardo received his bachelor of science in biomedical sciences from the University of South Florida and his doctorate of pharmacy from the University of Florida. He piloted and completed a clinical internship and research program at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa. During his time there, he was involved with the implementation and advancement of clinical activities, such as medication therapy management, transitions of care services, and chronic disease management. As a collaborative part of the healthcare team, Gerardo provided drug information and answered medication inquiries from physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary professions.
Gerardo is the owner and founder of LetterMed, a medical-content creation and review company redefining credibility in a web-based medical landscape. He is also a medical reviewer for SingleCare Services, writer for the Posterior-Segment, Innovation, and Enlightenment (PIE) magazine publication, and consultant for various medical information sites.
Gerardo is an active member of the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA). He is also a certified Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP) instructor, endorsed by the Health Services Advisory Group (HSAG) to educate patients on diabetes self management.
